The Rabbit Air BioGS is equipped with a HEPA air filter which is constructed out of the most advanced and innovative bio-engineered fiber material available. This enables the filter to truly deliver in the capture and destruction of a range of common allergens such as pollen, dust mites and pet epithelia (dander/skin cells). Designed to last up to 3 years, based on twelve hours of operation per day, the claimed life of the filters used is quite long relative to competitors.  I will however say that I prefer to leave mine running 24 hours per day, even if just on low, to continually clean the air in my home.  This of course shortens the filter life, but it is a worthy sacrifice in my eyes.

The Rabbit Air BioGS efficiently traps 99.97% of all airborne allergens and contaminants measuring 0.3microns in size, while its nano-silver pre-filter will help to kill the airborne bacteria, viruses and mold. The unit also features a washable charcoal-based activated carbon deodorization filter which allows for the elimination of harmful chemicals, gases and unpleasant odors.  This is cool because you don’t have to keep replacing them.

Safe and inexpensive to operate, the Rabbit Air BioGS is constructed with an energy efficient design. This ensures that it doesn’t emit any ozone and only consumes 33 watts of electricity at high speed, and 7 watts at silent speed! I have seen people talking about the fact that the odor sensor which helps the auto mode select the proper speed is too sensitive and goes up for no apparent reason.  This happens on my personal purifier from another brand as well and I don’t consider it a huge fault.  I would rather it be over-sensitive than under-sensitive personally. I would also note another common design fault that I see on many purifiers which is the fact that the lights don’t have an off or dimming option.  What this means is that at night, they can tend to be a bit bright while you are trying to sleep.  Again, my personal purifier at home has the same issue and I just face it at an angle so I don’t have to look at them.  Not a deal breaker in my opinion.

The Rabbit Air BioGS is able to purify the air in a room measuring up to 600 square feet (25’ x 24’) based on 2 air changes per hour.  This is quite a large area and I rarely see a purifier capable of cleaning areas larger than this.  Severe allergy sufferer’s may want to use it in a smaller space to get increased air changes per hour. When you see those budget air purifiers claiming they can clean 3,000 sq. ft. or more, it is definitely cause for suspicion.  The Rabbit Air BioGS also operates completely silent at low speeds, thus creating a minimum amount of noises to distract you; its operation is practically maintenance free and it is all in all very user friendly.   While a touch costly, between the features and capabilities that the Rabbit Air BioGS possesses, it should be a definite contender as you debate your choices.
